Load Balancer - Why do I need logs and graphical reports?

Because as well as performance, you want to achieve high-availability.
It is impossible to achieve high-availability without detailed logging and analysis.

Why do I need 3 of them?

It's better to have a Development or Hot Spare on site than it is to trust a service contract. In fact a lot of companies buy 5 Load Balancers!
(2 x Live, 2 x Test & 1 x dev)

Load Balancer - Why choose a load balancer .org appliance?

Fastest Load balancer in its class and also the cheapest Load Balancer.
Best Value, Quality and Reliability.
We listen to and value our customers.

Description
NEW v7 INTERFACE

Our new redesigned web interface for v7 provides easy navigation to some great new features. Administrators can elegantly access and modify all the required configurations via the slick new dropdown menu on the left. We also now provide a quick reference header which displays whether then appliance being viewed is the master or slave, and whether the appliance is currently active or passive.
VIEW CONFIGURATION > SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Provides a real-time look at the status of each load balanced service including numerous traffic statistics helpful for troubleshooting and performance monitoring. Using a colour-coded graphical representation, administrators can quickly and easily see the health of each real server and subsequently bring servers offline/online should they so wish. Hourly throughput, CPU, and memory statistics are also displayed in graph format.
REPORTS > GRAPHING

Displays detailed graphical statistics that are updated every 5 minutes allowing you to analyse traffic patterns over days, weeks, months or even years. Stats are generated for each virtual service and real server in connections/sec and bytes/sec. Global network/network and CPU usage are also tracked. If you wish to generate your own specific graphs you can utilize the full built in SNMP functionality with your own graphing software. Each graph links to a larger view for detailed analysis.
LOGS > LDIRECTORD

Within LOGS administrators can view numerous system events. The ldirectord log shows the output from the health checking daemon. This is useful for checking how healthy your real servers are or diagnosing any configuration errors. The lbadmin log shows any changes made via the admin system, which can be useful to prove that someone has changed something that they should not have done. The heartbeat log shows the status of the heartbeat between the master and slave nodes in an HA configuration.
MAINTENANCE > BACKUP & RESTORE

Enables the full and identical restoration of any load balancer configuration. Backups can be easily created and subsequently restored from the XML configuration file. From this page administrators can download the XML file, Firewall script and SSL certificates for backup. Systems can also be restored by uploading an XML file, restoring from the last online backup or restore manufacturers settings.
EDIT CONFIGURATION > NETWORK INTERFACE CONFIGURATION

Probably the most significant feature of the recently released v7 is full IPv6 support. Multiple IPv4 / IPv6 addresses can now easily be added and removed via the intuitive web interface.
SUPPORT >TECHNICAL SUPPORT DOWNLOAD

One of the many new features to v7 is the ability to create an archive of all configuration and logs files in one simple click. If you ever encounter any technical support issue then the Loadbalancer.org support team will more often than not like to take a look over any relevant files. This feature makes this whole process quick and easy and provides our engineers with all the information they need to resolve your issue promptly.
EDIT CONFIGURATION > EXECUTE A SHELL COMMAND

As the only vendor to offer full root access to our appliances we even have the option to execute a shell command via the Web GUI. This allows an administrator to execute a shell command as super user on the appliance and view the output.
